Specific carrier proteins in the liver selectively bind to the more absorbable form of vitamin E (non-synthetic), transporting it through the blood to your cells. These carrier proteins only recognize a portion of synthetic vitamin E, ignoring the rest.

Backed by research

Japanese researchers compared the synthetic and non-synthetic forms of vitamin E by supplementing young women with either form for one month and measuring vitamin E levels in their blood. It took only 100 mg of the natural form to produce the same blood levels as 300 mg of synthetic vitamin E.
