A preclinical study compared how magnesium levels in brain tissue were affected by different magnesium compounds: magnesium glycinate, magnesium acetyl-taurate, magnesium citrate and magnesium malate. The results showed that magnesium brain tissue levels were significantly increased by magnesium acetyl-taurate.
